SCHEELS Bike Rodeo

Bring the kids and their bikes, trikes, and helmets for some fun!
We will have obstacle courses and other activities for the family to enjoy!

Popcycle Ride Volunteer Training

America the Beautiful Park 126 Cimino Drive, Colorado Springs, CO, United States

Thank you for your interest in supporting or leading our famous PopCycle Rides!
You can lead, sweep, or assist on a bicycle ride from America the Beautiful Park to the PopCycle Bridge and back. At the PopCycle bridge we will take a popsicle break (popsicles provided by Kids on Bikes), before we head back to the park. Must be 18 years or older to lead a ride, under the age of 18 must have parental supervision.

Returning for 2025!

The last PopCycle ride of the month will be a special partnered We ALL Ride with the Cool C.A.T.S., and Angletech! These monthly PopCycle ride will begin and end as usual, but we will be meeting up with our friends on adaptive cycles along the way.

You MUST attend or have attended a Volunteer Training Ride in order to volunteer. Please contact Emily if you are interested but are unable to make the May 25th Volunteer Training Ride.

Youth Open Training

USOC Velodrome 250 S Union Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO, United States

All youth sessions are coached by Kids on Bikes employees, Olympian Maddie Godby and World-class athlete Clever Martinez. These sessions are intended to build foundational skills and comfort riding the velodrome. In addition to learning the basics, this program also introduces youth riders to racing. Kids on Bikes provides bikes to use for youth for free.

Youth Learn the Velo sessions occur on the first Monday and Wednesday of the month and run from 5pm-6:30pm. In order to be a certified velodrome rider you MUST attend both Learn the Velo (LTV) sessions.
Riders must first be certified to ride on the velodrome by attending two LTV. These coached sessions introduce riders to the safety protocol and rules of the velodrome, at the end of the two-day session riders will be certified to ride on the velodrome and will then be allowed to attend Youth Open Training.

Kids on Bikes provides bikes to use for youth free. If you ride clipless, please bring your cleats and shoes. If you ride flats, shoe cages are provided. If you are unsure what you ride, just show up and our staff will get you setup!

Pedal Station Volunteer Orientation

Come pedal with us! These weekly family rides are to promote community, biking and local trails. All ages and abilities welcome (Strider bikes not recommended). The ride is 6 miles round trip along the Pikes Peak Greenway trail at a very relaxed pace with very little street crossings. We have popsicles half way on what has affectionately become known as the Popcycle Bridge.
