2019 Great Bicycle Carnival
May 11 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
Bring your bike and start at one of the four bike parade starting locations. Park there and go on an organized ride leaving at 10:00 am with our Kids on Bikes Ambassadors as you make your way to El Pomar Youth Bike Park.
Lions, Tigers and Bear Creek, Oh My!: (Advanced Riders)
4.98 miles. This is the longest and most challenging route. We highly recommend older, more advanced riders only for this route. This route is on trails and on roads so riders must be comfortable riding on the road. (No striders or training wheels allowed)
All-Aboard Adams!: (Beginner/Intermediate Riders)
2.25 miles. Ride starts at Adams Elementary. This route features Memorial Park Lake and a few street crossings. (No striders or training wheels allowed)
Shake it on Shooks Run: (Intermediate Riders)
4.24 miles. Ride starts at Bon Shopping Plaza. This route nearly flat that travels next to a creek with a large hill a the end. It is almost entirely on trails, with a few street crossings. (No striders or training wheels allowed)
Tiny Tot Trots: (Beginner Riders)
.5 miles. Start at Helen Hunt School. There will be a few blocks of street riding, but the whole group will stay together. We highly recommend that the smallest riders join this ride, especially those with Strider bikes or training wheels.
Where is the Carnival?
You will ride your bikes as a group with a Kids on Bikes Ambassador to El Pomar Youth Bike Park. The Carnival fun will be at El Pomar You Bike Park for the rest of the afternoon.
Can we just come to the Carnival and not one of the rides?
Yes but just be aware that parking might be scarce. You may use the parking lot on Fountain Blvd. You can also come without bikes if you choose.
*****Ride maps and Choose your route chart will be coming soon! You’ll be able to sign up for your ride location soon!*****
