Youth Velodrome Program Overview and Sign Up

Youth Learn The Velodrome

Youth Learn the Velo sessions occur on the first Monday and Wednesday of the month and run from 5pm-6:30pm. In order to be a certified velodrome rider you MUST attend both Learn the Velo (LTV) sessions.

Riders must first be certified to ride on the velodrome by attending two LTV. These coached sessions introduce riders to the safety protocol and rules of the velodrome, at the end of the two-day session riders will be certified to ride on the velodrome and will then be allowed to attend Youth Open Training.

Kids on Bikes provides bikes to use for youth free. If you ride clipless, please bring your cleats and shoes. If you ride flats, shoe cages are provided. If you are unsure what you ride, just show up and our staff will get you setup!

Youth Open Training

Youth Open Training sessions occur on the first Monday and Wednesday of the month and run from 5pm-6:30pm. Any certified youth rider may sign up for these sessions.

All youth sessions are coached by Kids on Bikes employees, Olympian Maddie Godby and World-class athlete Clever Martinez. These sessions are intended to build foundational skills and comfort riding the velodrome. In addition to learning the basics, this program also introduces youth riders to racing. Kids on Bikes provides bikes to use for youth for free.

Registration for all sessions will open on the first of the month, every month prior.
