St. Patty’s Day Ride in the Parade
March 15, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
FreeThe absolute best way to experience the St. Patty’s Day Parade on March 15 is to bring the family and RIDE in it! We will start by decorating our bicycles, then doing a short 5k ride before the parade starts, then riding down Tejon to the cheer of thousands of people. You definitely do NOT want to miss this chance!
This is a free family event put on by Common Ground Cycling (aka Allen Beauchamp) and all families are invited to join in the fun. Arrive with the family and bikes at 10:00 at the Colorado College parking lot directly across from Runners Roost on Tejon and Cache La Poudre streets. Come dressed in your best St. Patty’s gear and decorations for your bike. Some bike decorations will be available on site the day of the ride.
Then at 11:00 we will all roll out for a short 5k bike ride through the Old North End. We will return by 12:00 just in time for the start of the parade. We will be in the 5th spot, which means we will leave shortly after noon to find our spot in the parade.
Please plan ahead for parking as the streets will start to fill up and there may be some closures.
See you there in your green!
