On-Street Biking as a Family
July 28, 2013 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeDo you want to take your kids on a destination ride to the local ice cream shop but worried about them riding on the street and crossing intersections? Join us in a hands on class where we take a destination bike ride on the street with safety points for kids and parents throughout the ride. We are doing this class in conjunction with the Downtown Library. It will start with a 20 minute informational session and then an hour of on-street practice. We will break into two groups to accommodate different age and abilities. This is a great way to introduce safe riding to your kids…and give you peace of mind!
You can park behind the Library and then bring your bike up with you (or leave them in the car if they are safely locked). The “classroom” component will be in the outdoor pavilion area so you can keep your bikes with you at that point. The ride will conclude at Anters Park with popsicles. See you there!
