Come out for an end of summer family adventure day with the Kids on Bikes Festival!  This is the premier family event in Colorado Springs, creating an active and interactive healthy and fun experience for the whole family!  There will be safety demonstrations, kids bike crafts, bounce house, a family bike demo and a kids bike swap.

• Kids Bike Swap – Bring your child’s bike and give $15 to swap it with another bike that is brought to the event.  Kids on Bikes keeps all the proceeds.  If you do not find a bike that you want to swap, we will return your $15 or you can donate it to KOB.  Any bikes that remain will be fixed up and given to kids in need.
• Adventure Duathlon: Participate in the second annual fun-filled Adventure Duathlon.  This bike and run event features obstacles along the way that will require smarts, strength, coordination and just plain crazy fun.  Finish on the slip-n-slide!  There will be two courses, one is 5 miles round trip suitable for kids aged 6-12 and the other is 2 miles round trip for kids aged 3-5.  The Stryder Cup will be for the youngest kids and will stay inside the park.
• Strider Cup – For those little kiddos on push bikes, we have a race for you!  This will loop around the path inside America the Beautiful Park right after the Duathlon starts.  We will have a few fun obstacles too!
• Family Bike Demo – Family and cargo bikes will be on hand to demo and practice – think family quad bike, child carriers and grocery cargos.
• Safety Demos – There will be lots of safety focused demonstrations, including the 911 Safety Trailer, Signs for Life Bus, Bike Safety Rodeo, Helmet fittings, and lots more!
• Passport to FUN! – Take your passport to all of the fun and interactive stations to claim your prize!
• Kids Zone: Bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, bike decoration, water games, competitions and so much more!
• Free T-shirts for the first 175 kids who register for the Duathlon (excludes the Strider Cup)

• 11:00 – Festival Opens
• 11:45 – Bike Parade around America the Beautiful Park
• 12:00 – Adventure Duathlon begins
• 12:15 – Strider Cup Race
• 2:00 – Festival Closes

Registration is best done online to avoid long lines the day of the event.  T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 175 kids who register.

Note: Parents are encouraged to ride with their kids in the Duathlon.  It is FREE for you to ride.  If you are unable to ride, there will be lots of volunteers to escort kids down the trail.  You will need to notify Kids on Bikes on the day of the event if you will not be riding.
