Kids on Bikes Club – Winter/Spring
Are you looking for more frequent riding opportunities for you child, often with the same group of kids and coaches? Early in 2022 we will be piloting a Kids on Bikes “club” structure for the first time. The riding locations and times will look similar to our spring and fall clinics from last year but, instead of planning out a schedule months in advance during a time of year when weather can be challenging, we will plan for a few rides a month with the exact date and location determined about a week in advance. This will allow us to choose parks with dry trails and aim for warmer days when possible.
How to sign up
Follow the standard registration process through Campminder and select the “Kids on Bikes club – Winter/Spring” option. Once the registration comes in, we will add you to our group on Team Snap, an app that allows easy scheduling, RSVPing, and messaging for sports organizations. Rides will be posted on here with a location and an approximate ability level or skill focus for the day. Parents can RSVP for their child(ren) to attend as often as they like without having to go through the campminder registration process repeatedly. At the end of the spring season (~May 20th), we will simply charge you based on the number of sessions your child ended up attending ($25 for each 2 hour clinic, $50 for each 4 hour clinic).
Overall Structure/Intended Ride schedule
In order to keep things simpler to start and test this out, we will keep the group focus to more intermediate/advanced (equivalent to our Level2/3 through 5 summer camps) riding with ~2 weekend rides per month from January through March. Once we have more daylight after school, we will incorporate weekday evening rides and add a more beginner/intermediate group similar to our Explorers and Level 1/2 camps. In addition to these mountain bike clinics will be occasional Urban Trail or family rides that you would not be charged for at the end of the season. Depending on what parents and kids are interested in, we can also incorporate other opportunities like a kids/family mechanic clinic.
