Where we work
LOCATION OF OUR PROGRAMS
Founded and headquartered in Colorado Springs in 2005, we are a thriving presence in this community. We serve kids and families through Let’s Pedal, bike safety, family rides, Bike Libraries, bike camps and BikeMobile programs.
We need people, businesses and foundations to sponsor neighborhood earn-a-bike programs, bike safety, Bike Libraries and BikeMobile visits so that we can continue to reach kids in need. Donate today.

Would you like to see us in your neighborhood? Contact our School and Family Outreach Coordinator, Mark Schenberger at firstname.lastname@example.org about setting up a bike club or other programming.
Let’s Pedal is our 10 week earn-a-bike program that we provide to low-income elementary schools or community centers. The focus is primarily on 5th grade students who are in need of a bike. We also look for sites that are in close proximity to a neighborhood park or trail so that we can have a hands on experiential learning process with the kids. While we are very selective, we hope to continue our expansion. If you are a school or community site where you would like to bring our earn-a-bike program, please contact us here.
Our current sites include Atlas Preparatory School, Bristol Elementary School, Deerfield Hills Community Center, Meadows Park Community Center, STAR Academy and Stratmoor Hills Elementary School.
BIKE SAFETY SEMINARS
We teach groups of kids about bike, traffic and helmet safety. Do you have a group of kids in the 3rd-5th grade who could benefit? Let us know by filing out this form.
POPCycle FAMILY RIDES
We lead a number of family rides every year. For a complete list of rides check out our events calendar. Or, start your own bike club with our help!
In the summer we host the PopCycle Ride that leaves from America the Beautiful Park every Sunday from 1:00-3:00 along the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. The rides start in June and conclude in October. Join us for this free family ride suitable for ALL ages!
Look for our BikeMobile in a neighborhood near you! Our BikeMobile carries a bike fleet and repair tools to neighborhoods across the city. We will be leading bike rides, fix up bikes, hosting a bike clinic and having fun! Do you have a knack for bikes? Help us fix up bikes for kids and families in lower income neighborhoods. Let us know you are interested by filling out the volunteer form.
Our Bike Libraries provide a small bike center that we set up in conjunction with Colorado Springs Community Centers. We retrofit used shipping containers into bike lockers that are filled with refurbished bikes, tools and parts. These Bike Libraries are then used by our partnering sites to best suit their needs – that may include earn-a-bike program, bike shop repairs, bike clubs or rental programs. We currently have Bike Libraries at Meadows Park, Deerfield, and Hillside Community Centers and have four more on the way at local elementary schools.
